A disturbing video of a teenager from Ebonyi State being flogged by a
man went viral on social media some days ago. The report then was that a
father caught his teenage daughter having sex with a man in their home,
stripped her and told people to film her while he flogged her.
According to Ada Ebonyi, the young girl in the video has been identified
as Uzoamaka, a 15-year-old Junior Secondary School and an orphan.
"The people that stripped her were top politicians in my community,
people who were supposed to protect and care for her, but for reasons
best known to them, they thought there could shame her, funny enough the
same social media they wanted to shame her with, was the same media she
is getting justice from...When the first pictures and stories went
viral, concerned individuals including myself raised serious alarm and
seeked for justice on her behalf." said Ada Ebonyi.
Another person got involved in the saga, House of Representatives
member, Hon. Linus Abaa Okorie. He took these photos of the victim when
he visited her yesterday, August 6, at the rehabilitation center where
she is currently receiving medical attention. He said:
